HR Radio Sljeme

Radio Sljeme online radio channel is a Croatian non-commercial radio channel that is part of the Croatian Radio. It transmits its programs in the area of Zagreb and its surrounding region.

This downloadable free online radio was first heard in April 1953 under the radio name Radio Wave 202.1 and a month after it changed its name to its current name Radio Sljeme.

Their first broadcasts were purely music request from the people of Zagreb and Classified Ads information. In 1986 its 4 hours broadcasting expanded to 12 hours and by the year 1997, Radio Sljeme has moved to a 24 hours broadcasting.

Eventually due to public demand and the need to adapt to the changing tides, Radio Sljeme entered the world of the internet and is available at radio stations toolbarsmaking itself available 24 hours a day and seven days a week. It now reaches beyond Croatia and has listeners up to 100,000 per week.

Their music program sticks to the principle that they do not offer aggressive type of music but instead they offer the listeners mellow, slow and inspirational type of music. They also present the listeners the newest news and happenings around the four corner of the world.
